American individuals, bequests, foundations and corporations gave an estimated $449.64 billion to U.S. charities in 2019, placing it among the highest years ever for charitable giving. DataLake helps to provide data on the size and scope of nonprofits within the United States. |

Report Highlight: CausesCount with CalNonprofits
Like the ground-breaking Causes Count report in 2014 produced in collaboration with DataLake, this report summarizes the noteworthy size, variety, diversity, and overall magnitude of California's nonprofit sector. Special emphasis was focused on government-nonprofit partnerships, the impact of Donor Advised Funds on the nonprofit landscape, and discusses the widening disparities within the nonprofit sector. |

Local and Regional
Report Highlight: 2020 State of Nonprofits and Philanthropy Report in San Diego
For many years DataLake has collaborated with The Nonprofit Institute at the University of San Diego to produce an annual report on the state of nonprofits and philanthropy in San Diego County. The 2020 State of Nonprofit and Philanthropy Report synthesizes findings from three nonprofit leader surveys (including COVID-19 impacts surveys), public opinion polling, and other sources of nonprofit data to provide the most up to date and holistic picture of this essential sector. |
